BACB Examinations Eligibility Changes

In 2015, there will be  a change in the coursework requirements for the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB) examinations.  The BACB will now be using the 4th edition task list.

For those who have completed their studies  using the 3rd edition task list and who plan on sitting the BCBA or BCaBA examinations, the following information from Christine Ratcliff of the BACB  is important:

Applicants must complete all of the eligibility requirements (degree, coursework, and experience) prior to December 31, 2014.  If they do so, and have all of their application materials to the BACB by March 31, 2015, they may qualify under the Third Edition Eligibility standards.  If approved, they will have the same two-year approval to sit for the exam that all applicants are given.

It is important to note that while individuals who have met the 3rd edition task list requirements may be allowed to sit the examinations in 2015 if they submit their applications before the relevant deadlines, the examinations will be based on the 4th edition task list.

For further information, please contact the BACB.
