Notes on the 7th Conference of the European Association for Behaviour Analysis

Professor Julian Leslie of the Division of Behaviour Analysis writes:

The Division of Behaviour Analysis was well represented at the recent 7th Conference of the European Association for Behaviour Analysis in Stockholm. Stockholm is a beautiful and cultured city, and if you stay a short time you don’t run out of money!  As usual, the European Association for Behaviour Analysis meeting was extremely international and all the presentations were of high quality.  As delegates, we were delighted to be invited a reception at the Town Hall, a magnificent building where Nobel prizes are awarded so we felt at home. We were slightly disconcerted that the Mayor thought she was welcoming delegates to a meeting solely about supporting children with autism. As at all recent behaviour analysis conferences, there were many autism-related presentations but many more about the scientific study of human behaviour  in general and the application of  that science to many human problems.
