RTE Morning Edition: Autism and Recovery

Speaking to RTE’s Keelin Shanley Professor Deborah Fine talks about research showing the benefits of intense ABA interventions.

“There’s about 30 years of good solid literature showing that ABA – it does work. It works for all children whether optimal outcome is on the cards for them or not so even children with severe autism and global developmental delay can make progress with good intervention. I should say that the optimal outcome that we’re documenting is not the only good outcome that one would hope for”.
